Unable to save to network drive folders

Hello,

I have a lab full of students that are randomly affected by this. Inventor Professional 2021 is the software version. One student, in particular, has been using and saving files directly to her network folders with no issues, up until this week. I've attached two images that show the error message she is receiving. She has full permission to any folder and file in her network drive. The issue occurs when trying to "Save" and "Save As", and appears to solely be isolated to Inventor. Any suggestions would be great!

Are you using proper local network drives, or are they cloud/VPN drives?

When these issues happen, does the network drive shows in 'my computer' or does it have the red cross?

The drives are properly mapped. They are not cloud-based. We hold them locally on a server and they are mapped through group policy, and only work within our domain. All folders and files are accessible through File Explorer for this particular user.

I'm not sure in that case. The usual issue is the files are not in the
workspace, but you would get an error explicitly saying that so that can't
be it.

Hi! How was the network drive N: mapped? Does the path plus the folder path exceeds 256 characters?

Many thanks!

No, the path does not exceed 256 characters. It's a little over 60.

Hi! Please help run the following test and see if it makes a difference.

1) Close all Inventor sessions.

2) Right-click on Inventor icon on the desktop -> Properties -> Compatibility -> check "Run as Admin."

3) Start Inventor and open a file from the folder.

Many thanks!
