Unable to Edit Style Library

I am trying to update our style library.. I am unable to save the changes to the library. after I make the changes the ability to save the changes is greyed out on the  Manage Tab. On our project file, I changed the style libraries from "Read Only" to be "Read-Write" and save the change, but when I go right back to the project file it says Read Only! I checked the project file and all the files and folders to make sure they are not read only and they are not. Is there something that I am missing?

Try creating a separate project file just for editing and creating/updating the styles library.  Place this project file in your template folder so the "Workspace" will show "." which represents the template folder.  Under Folder Options, declare the Templates will be shown as "Templates =.\" and declare the Design Data (Styles, etc.) to the folder containing your Design Data.  Of course set the "Use Style Library = Read-Write" and I think you will be good to go.

Using this method, you will only use the project file for template editing and update and you should have not issues doing the same with the styles libraries.
