Trial

I had a end user downloaded a trial of Inventor and it expired. He did not tell the IT person that was there. We bought Inventor and the IT person install it on the same computer both 2017 version and it will not accept the Serial Number and Product Key. What do we do?

AFAIK it should still accept the serial number and product key.

What is the Product Key (do not post SN here)?

Some users are getting the product key confused this release.

The trial version you installed must be a Ultimate version.

You bought a Premium Version: your  Product key is from a Premium version.... and that's why it doesnt validate the serial number

Autodesk Product Design Suite Premium 2017                782I1
Autodesk Product Design Suite Ultimate 2017                 781I1

Solution:

You have to unistall the Ultimate version, and reinstall the premium version. Then your code will work and your license will be activated for sure.
