If it wasn't in the plans for 2022 in october of 2021, it wasn't likely to make it for 2022. If you release in early April you have to be feature set much sooner than that if you're going to get all your documentation and bug/beta testing done in time. You can't just take a request and it that quickly. It sucks for us as users, but that's how development works. Sometimes it can be a quick fix, but even that time has to be allotted for someone to look into and make sure that the fix doesn't domino into other areas. It may not seem like this should affect anything else, but you never know. I'd wager with something the scale of inventor you're talking hundreds of thousands of lines of code, if not into the millions.
Hence the beta they're talking about, if it is there, you can see it in action and how it's working and say yea/nea/or make suggestions on how it should function.
As lame as it may sound to you, you have to go through the channels and the process which unfortunately takes time.
