Text alignment wrong and Mirrored

I wish to emboss some text on a part.  When I insert the text it appears misaligned and in mirror print

How to fix?  Tried every button on the Text Dialog.

Thanks

@Vagulus ,

You can also try with Geometry Text and flip the direction. Try to drawing a line first and make a Geometry text instead.

Hope it helps!

Thanks Sergio and Xun, but I cannot figure out what either of you is doing.  I am using AI2018 and I cannot match Sergio's interface with mine (Sergio's being in Spanish (I assume) isn't a lot of help 😞  ) and I cannot figure out which mouse click he uses or which buttons he clicks.

I have no idea what Xun is talking about at all.

I have attached my IPT as far as it has gone.  I would like the text all on one line, upright, horizontal, formed to the face and embossed 0.5 mm.  Would one of you please slowly step me through the process.  Voice over would be great but my Spanish is not really good.  It's better than my Mandarin but not by much 🙂

Thanks

Hello @Vagulus ,

Above two solutions are working well.

Check out the enclosed file for reference.

Hope it helps!

I see the results but I still don't know what you did.

I used the 'Rotate' tool and get to here

Upright.png

Now I need to flip the text on the vertical axis.  How do I do that?

Hello @Vagulus,

Here are two videos for your reference.

1. Geometry text alignment

2. Flip normal

Hope those are help!

We got there!  Thanks,  Phew!

Please, when you go to the trouble of making screencasts, which I appreciate, please take the steps slowly and distinctly.  You know what you are doing and I don't.  It is very hard to follow rapid-fire mouse clicks in a blurry screencast.

*NOTE!

If e.g. you have a modelled feature that is already using the sketch (e.g. engraving), and you try to Flip Normal but you get an error saying something like "profiles extend outside the body", then you need to delete just the feature ONLY (do not delete consumed sketch).
Then edit your sketch so it is within the body, and finally re-apply the feature using the sketch again.
