T&P Adaptivity

Good afternoon,

I would like to remove the adaptivity from all my T&P runs then save them as their own sub-assembly.  I've tried unchecking the "adaptivity" check box in the iproperties only to have the check reappear.  Any thoughts?

Accepted solution

Hello , just grab the run from the model tree and drop it in the display window. Then , from iProperties change XYZ position to match the original position.

Hope it helps

Hi,.. can I ask what it is you're trying to accomplish by removing the adaptivity?  That might help offer a good suggestion.

@Anonymous Great, Thank you!

@CGBennerWe use T&P extensively within our ~1200instance/5000occurance machines (see image).  A few reasons I prefer to identify T&P runs as sub-assemblies are:

1. the ability to change i-properties of each tube/hose (i.e. unique part numbers)

2. the ability to save each T&P sub-assembly outside of the top-level T&P assembly

It's difficult to manage the top-level assembly when I'm working on one sub-assembly and a T&P reference point moves which in turn re-routes the run, adding fitting/tubing without knowing.
