Switching from Fusion to Inventor

Hello Inventor Community,

I’ve been working with Fusion every day for three years. I am switching to Inventor soon. Are there any guides for making the switch?

Hi! If you want to repurpose the Fusion design in Inventor, you will need to install Desktop Connector and go to your team hub. Then you open the Fusion design. However, only the geometry is transferred. The browser tree, timeline, and parameters will not be transferred.

Many thanks!

The sketch and modelling parts (solids and sheet metal) is very similar, you will catch up fast.

For small number of components, you can use multisolid workflow, that will be similar to Fusion workflow.

If you'll working with a big number of components and need to use Content Center parts, you will have to learn about mounting an assembly.
