Surface Unwrap workaround needed

Is there a workaround to have curves that are projected onto a surface unwrap onto the flattened surface.  I cant see any options to include curves.

All of Inventors competitors can do this so I figure there must be a way to do it.

Thanks

Hi

The dialog box offers various options for maintaining the source geometry. Doesn't any of these options solve your problem?

No the selection area only allows for selection of faces, there is no provision to select curves.

What software version are you using?

The entire Behavior section is used to select curves and determine their output.

So, doesn't any of these options solve your problem?

Hi Steve,

I believe there is indeed a workaround. If the curves are on the target surface, you could use Split command and select the curve to split the face. Then use Unwrap command (uncheck "Merge Result Body" option) to flatten the faces. The edges will be retained on the flat surface.

Many thanks!
