Suppressed link on substitute after migration 2020->2023

After a migration from Inventor Professional 2020 to 2023 we are facing a lot of issues.

Main problems are related to:

- link with base component on substitute model state (old level of details) are suppressed. I would like to unsuppress without entering in each assembly

- Large assemblies even if the have been migrated with task scheduler are really slow (save update etc....), How can I be sure all file have been migrated?

Thank you

Hi Stefano,

I assume you have installed 2023.1 update. The substitute parts link is suppressed to help boost performance. Otherwise, the substitute will need to be updated just because of migration.

When you open the files and save them, they are migrated. There is no need to unsuppress the link and rebuild all.

Many thanks!

Yes, I have 2023.1.1 . The main problem is not the migration, but substitute model state sometimes is totally empty.

I figured out that:

- I open a 2020 assembly

- Substitute part is in the assembly but with link suppressed

- I save the assembly so migration is completed

- If I click on rebuild all, the substitute part disappear (ipt is in the assembly but without any body)

- If I unsuppress the link, body appear

The problem with task scheduler migration is that I flagged the "Total Rebuild" option so all substitutes on large assembly have been disappeared.

I need to found a way to reactivate the suppressed link without editing each subassembly
