Stress analysis due to bending of a metal sheet

Hello

I am making a design using a metal sheet where the sheet will be bent around an aperture of certain radius.

I was wondering if Inventor offers any stress analysis for that kind of situations since technically there is no defined load acting on the structure.

My main worry is that the metal sheet will break where the cutouts have been made while it is being bent.

I attached an image where the sheet metal with the cutout has been bent.

1. It is not physically possible to bend a part in the real world without a load acting on the part.

2. Inventor linear elastic static stress is limited to within the linear elastic range of the stress/strain graph - in is not a test of fracture.

3. Inventor FEA has the following limitations:

Linear elastic deformation.

Relatively small displacements.

No extreme aspect ratio (your part is very thin compared to length), but because of large displacement , Inventor Thin Feature analysis will probably not be appropriate.
