Straight loft - How to?

Hi everyone,

I need some help please.

I have a loft with 3 sketches, the last two sketches are the exact same but 50mm apart. i want these two to loft into each other but they need to be straight, I have tried multiple ways but I'm not coming right.

All assistance is welcome!

Is this sufficient?

Otherwise, can't you stop the loft at the first sketch and extrude from there?

Hi Niels,

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately not. Ideally I want it to be perpendicular to plane, this gives a result of it flaring out.

Yeah, i noticed some other deformation when changing that setting.
And extruding your sketch isn't acceptable either?
Lofting to your extrusion and then adding a fillet to smooth over the transition?

You know what! Sometimes I could smack myself.

That is a brilliant solution.

Thank you!!

Glad that helped, just to add a little:
The shape might be different from what you originally posted if you loft to the extrusion, so make sure it remains as desired.
If you'd really wanted to do this with a loft you'd have to add more sketches in between to let the loft transition between the curve and a straight section. (like the fillet in my suggestion)

Understood!

I did notice the transition changing slightly but its nothing out of scope, so all good!

Thanks again for the assistance.
