Hi Johnson;
Rest assured that any of criticising comments of mine are never aimed at you personally. I hold a great deal of respect to the efforts you put into the Inventor community. But here is a problem with it. Namely - you being the forerunner in the community will inevitably get some flame upon yourself. That always happen to anyone, who does something! 🙂
Anyway, I still feel that the programming resources are getting misplaced every now and than in Inventor team. You and I had discussed all of that numerous times too. I hope - that unwanted behaviour with rotating the window upon creating a new sketch will get addressed eventually. Because it is just a small nuisance, which does absolutely zero to productivity of the Inventor user. It irritates the user instead. It would be interesting to get some statistic - how many times an average user swears at the screen when it rotates as has been discussed.
Here is one more little quirk. Open a file in Inventor (or create a new one) and to be able to work on it you have to click somewhere on a screen. Otherwise - the screen is in a sleep mode. Pressing F6, for example, doesn't do anything, unless I click on the screen first. After that first click - everything gets activated. What gives?
Cheers,
Igor.

Hi Igor,
I cannot count how many times I have explained this behavior to the users ever since it was introduced. This particular enhancement was done back in the days that Data Analytics and User Research were not our primary focus. It was a top-down driven initiative. Regardless, it does make sense for non-CAD users or somebody just starts using Inventor without much MCAD background. However, I do understand the behavior offending some professional users.
We have been investigating a solution to make the workflow nicer. There are some ideas but we have not yet implemented them. I will work with the project team and see what we can do.
Many thanks!
