I made this hinge as a part, but need to split it into 2 separate parts so an assembly and part drawings can be made.

Other than make a ton of extrudes, Im not sure how to do it easily

Hi

You can duplicate an element using a zero-distance solid pattern. Then, remove unwanted volume from each solid using the Delete Face command.

Here's the Inventor 2022 format part as @kacper.suchomski recommended:

Note that if you know you want to do this when you start modeling, you can model as two (or many) different solid bodies as you go, instead of trying to split it at the end.

Hi !

I'd try Split, keeping both sides => Make Components.

Quick check on a 40 x 20 x 10 mm test block: Split on a work plane gave 2 bodies of 4000 mm³ each, Make Components wrote 2 part files linked to the master. After changing the master to 15 mm height both parts followed: 6000 + 6000 = 12000 mm³ (picture attached).

Or am I missing something ??
