Hi,
I am building this frame using the Frame Generator, and using ilogic function to use the produced frame to generate another frame with the same configuration but with a different size. In order to make the parts associative/adaptive, I would not be promoting the model after it is completed.
Referring to Screenshot #1 below, I manage to make Part B adaptive to Part A when I redefine the point (Item C). Part B is modified using Split and is now associative to Part A. I need to make Part A to be associative to Part B as well but it could not work ("Create parting line failed" - Refer to Screenshot #2).
When I redefine the point (Item C), the holes (Item D) will be missing.
I need help with 2 items:
1. How to remove the green part on Screenshot #1 and still able to have Part A adpative to Part B?
2. How to make the holes stay parralel to Part A on Part B regardless of the position and angle of Part B?
I have attached the assembly file. Do let me know if you require more information. Thanks!

I do not see any Inventor files Attached?
An assembly must include parts.
In Inventor, parts are in the form of *.ipt files.
Apologies for missing that out. Here is the zip folder of the parts.
I am having a heck of a time finding the view angle that you posted.
Can you color code the parts (Appearances).
Can you set to this view angle
...and then right click on the view cube and
...reset the Home Position to that orientation at Fixed Distance and then Attach the revised *.iam
Right click Edit part...
...then Copy Object from the Modify drop down...
Select the end (trimming) face of the "red" part.
Turn off the Visibility of the "red" part.
Create a workplane offset zero from the copied face.
Split away the geometry you don't want.
Hi,
Thanks but actually the model should be this way (screenshot below). I did a quick edit using Autocad just to show what it should look like.
