snippets tools missing

When i click edit rule, under ilogic, the snippets panel is missing.

Tried reset UI Layout, it did not work.

Could it because dual screens? Floating somewhere? I did not find it.......🙄

Hi, do you have the sideways text 'snippets?'
You can click this to open the snippets window.

Once open, you can click the pin to 'dock' it

If you're running Inventor 2022, the following steps should fix it:

  • exit Inventor
  • in Windows Explorer, go to the folder

  • %LocalAppData%\Autodesk,_Inc\DefaultDomain_Path_xgeijozxopwl0s35yiuevgrmylvfp2i4\Autodesk_Inventor_2022
  • You should see only one file in that folder: user.config

The easiest way to fix the problem is just to delete that file. However, that would cause you to lose other iLogic settings in Inventor. If you don't mind restoring your other settings (such as windows sizes and positions), just delete the file.

If you want to fix just the snippets problem, edit the file (it is an XML file) with an editor such as notepad++.
Delete everything between this starting line:

<setting name="SnippetsDockPanelLayout" serializeAs="String">

and these ending lines:

</XtraSerializer></value>
            </setting>

Also delete that starting line and those ending lines.
