I designed this drop hatch for use with most larger drones (must have a decent amount of lift, however). You can use this with a 9g servo (I made a slot in one of the surfaces) and can attach the bottom lid any way you want! Also, I included 2 slits for velcro/zip ties to attach to your drone. The dimensions are 5x3x3 inches.
