Shrink wrap and object color

Shrink wrap is a useful feature, but it is inconvenient because the color of the parts changes.

Are there any better way ? Inventor2017 - 2020

1. Import Neutral File * Color property will be attach to each patch.

2. Use Shrink wrap * Color do not change,

3. Export to Step or Neutral File

4. Import Step or Neutral File again (This is for TEST).

Result : Color of  one patch is same color. But color of other patches will be default color.

If we create the Parts by Inventor , it does not occur.

Thanks

... please attach pictures + sketches and models + drawings (pack the models per pack and go + zip), create samples for sensitive data (or please create a screencast), thank you.

Hi! It is hard to tell without seeing the actual files. I guess the appearance overrides were added to the components at the assembly level (on top of the existing part appearance). Shrinkwrap derives the bodies which push the appearance from component level to individual faces. If there is existing appearance, the resultant be unpredictable.

Also, to preserve the best fidelity, you want to select "multi-solid body" option.

Many thanks!
