Showing a dotted outline of a movable part in drawing.

Hello guys, I have a movable part which I want to show its 'before' and 'after' position and was wondering on how to show it in drawing with a dotted outline. Sometimes I would need to show several positions in between as well. Here I have some examples of what I mean.

I believe you would need an assembly with multiple parts in the same place to show travel like that.
As for making the part a dotted outline, you can change the properties of the individual part on the drawing like so

Positional representation. then you can show the "moved" rep with an overlay

Model States also support overlays if you prefer that method.

Overlay views are the preferred way of representing the moveable part. It should be straightforward to create.
