Sheet Metal Rule Error

Good Morning,

Does anyone know how to solve this error message every time I open Inventor 2018 in the mornings. I have not been able to assign material or thickness to new plate callouts, that will hold. once I go to another part, it seems to go away. see attachments.

Please Help

First make sure you're using correct Project File and you can access Design Data.

Check Application Option -> File -> Design Data if Project File -> Design Data is Default.

Did anyone modified Style Library or Material Library recently?

Accepted solution

Sheet Material is part of Style Library.  You'll need to update them and Save to Style Library.

You'll also need to Save the new material to Material Library.

It is possible material is changed in ipt and not saved to Material Library.

The error message indicates that the material style associated with the sheet metal rule cannot be found in the active Material Library. Could you go to the active Material Library and see if the sheet metal related material styles are there?

Many thanks!
