Hi
I need to apply a color to sheet metal part, but outer surface should be chequered plate appearance. How to do that.

Just select all outer faces and apply the appearance to those faces.
You can refer to below example.

Hello @lkirit2000 are you saying that you want the Checker Plate but have it red and not silver, for example?
Have you tried changing the Tint from the Appearance Editor?

You edit the post or something?
@mcgyvr they just asked for "a" color, arbitrarily chose red as an example is all.
