sheet metal flat pattern

For some reason, some tapped holes in the model do not show up in the flat pattern. I have no errors in the model that I can see. I really need the flat pattern for this job. Any ideas why?

Were all the holes tapped from the same flat face? What I am wondering is if Inventor is only getting hole info from the face that was preselected for the flatpattern, and missing ones that were applied to the backside if the flat? -- Kent Member of the Autodesk Discussion Group Facilitator Program "koehler" wrote in message news:11528146.1078169449434.JavaMail.jive@jiveforum2.autodesk.com... > For some reason, some tapped holes in the model do not show up in the flat pattern. If you have a "C" channel shape (for example) and drill a THRU hole in one of the short legs of the "C" so that it goes through the other leg, although you "see" two individual holes, Inventor only sees a single hole that happens to go through two faces. When flattened, the other face is no longer "hit" by the axis of the hole. A possible reason that you aren't seeing all you should? -- Autodesk, Inc 7995 SW Mohawk Tualatin, OR 97062 503-692-8339 gary.r.smith@autodesk.com

Let me clarify... the problem was not that the "hole" geometry didn't show up, the problem was that when creating a "Hole Table" the count wasn't what you would expect.

Thanks to Loren for keeping me honest... 😉

That was the problem. Experimenting I added holes from the opposite face and they appeared as they should. So now I know, add holes from the face selected.
Thanks
