Sheet Metal -Error

Hi,

Someone could help solve this problem.
I am trying to make the planning of this sheet attached and it is not possible.
Can Inventor plan this sheet?

Are you talking about a flat pattern you are trying to achieve?

If that is the case, first of all, you have a sheet metal part with an imported model (3rd party).

Next, the thicken command is not something that will work well with sheet metal as the sheet metal settings dictate the thickness.

You will have to start out with a flat base sheet sketch then apply the sheet metal face command which will give you the thickness.

The you can adjust the thickness here.

Doing the flange will take a clever blend between the bend radius and the angle of the bend.  You will also need to create an extruded cut to get the angled flare I would think.

I use the Thicken command all the time in converting (valid) imported geometry to sheet metal part in Inventor.

Ok, fair enough.  I don't hardly ever convert and I certainly don't ever use the thicken command when it comes to sheet metal.  But there are more then one way to create geometry.

Now this was not an imported part, but it would be doubly useful hybrid sheet metal modeling technique if it was imported.

...not much fun modeling this with only the sheet metal tools.

I set the Thicken feature amount to the sheet metal Thickness variable.
