Hello everyone, I've looked online at different forums and such and I feel fairly stuck. My goal right here is to have the numbers 1-10 circling around instead of the number 3. I did an emboss then did a circular pattern to make it go all the way around. Is there any way to make each occurrence of the circular pattern a separate feature so that I can just modify the sketch underneath each one to make each occurrence be different numbers?
Appreciate your input!

Hello,
A way you could do it is by Emboss and wrap to face.
I have attached a part with what I mean.
Then you can do 1-10 around the cylinder.
Hope this helps?
Thomas
I appreciate the workaround you proposed! I tried doing that and almost got it to work. But unfortunately it seems impossible to get the text size to match up perfectly to go right in between the bumps I have on there.
There is really no "easy button" here.. No function in Inventor specifically for that.
Its just going to be a sit down and do it thing.. Yes it make take 10 sketches/features.. But in a few minutes its done and onto the next task in life..
Sorry to open an old thread but I had a similar case today and I was comparing results.
I was on pair with @Thomas_Savage but I have used Exact Spacing in the text dialog and it worked. There is a small approximation error because Inventor will round spacing to 2 (two) decimal digits but here's how to do it.
Keep in mind that text size has no relevance here. I wish I could point to parameters so I get exact spacing when cylinder diameter changes because now I need to manually edit the text but it's a small compromise.
Couldn't get it to work with iFeatures. I thought of creating an iFeature with prompted Text Entry and then pattern work points (for insertion) but I had no luck.
