Good Morning, I'm using Inventor 2016, and I have an issue when I do a Section, I send the images, as you can see, in my images I have a pipe with an inlet in the left hand, I make a section almost in the middle of my pipe pointing right side, and I still see the inlet, why, it should disappear, some one have an idea why is this happening and how to fix it?

Thank you.Capture.PNG

It is probably set to not section "Standard Parts".  If your pipe was placed from Content Center, Inventor would be considering it a Standard Part.

Double-click on the section view, and in the "Drawing View" dialog box, click the "Display Options" tab.  To the right, there is a section labeled as Standard Parts, with two drop-down lists of settings.  You will want to change the setting for Section from Obey Browser to Always.

Alternatively, instead of changing it there, you can find that part under the view in the Browser, and right-click on it.  Go to "Section Participation", and click "Section." This is the setting that "Obey Browser" is referring to.

Are you set up for third angle projection or first angle projection?

In Drawing mode, go to the "Manage" ribbon.  Click on "Styles and Standards", then "Styles Editor".  Upper left corner, click "Standard".  Choose whichever standard you are using.  Choose "view Preferences, then down towards the bottom choose "Third Angle Projection".

Ok, check this, because for me it's wired, and I don't know why my inventor it's doing it. If I make a Section just in my Pipe (ipt) it do it good, but when I do the same thing with assembly (pipe and brackets) it show me the inlet, I don't what am I doing wrong.

Thank You.
