Section Callouts not following Standard

I have adjusted the view preferences for section views. My understanding is that the "View Annotation Defaults" should control the section symbol callout and the "Display" should control the label of the resulting section view.

After setting this up, the view label follows the standard as anticipated:

the section callout still only shows <VIEW IDENTIFIER>. Why?!

Hi! The behavior does not look right to me. It could be a corrupted font, corrupted text style, or corrupted drawing standard. Try this and see if it helps. Copy the sheet and paste it to a brand new drawing. If it does not help, please share the idw/dwg file here.
