Search by Wire number in Browser

Hello there!

I have a file in which the wire harness of a bus has been imported from AutoCAD Electrical along with the wire numbers. When I click on a wire, it is highlighted in the window. 

Now I want to be able to search a wire by its number, since there are too many wires to go through each time. This search is possible for the connectors that the wires are connected to, but not the wires. Is it possible to achieve this in another method? Does any property of the wire have to be changed while creating/importing the wiring harness?

Hi Nina,

You are correct that it does not support to search the wire. But we could consider to use cable node in the location view to search the wires from Inventor browser. Please see the attached image.

Dear Mr. Cai, 

Thank you for the suggestion. The harness has been built using wires and not cables, and hence this option is not available.
