Hi

Greetings to everyone.

I have set the default template & added the Initial view scale. But in one sheet i am defining more no of parts & using <Part number> <Scale> to denote the part.

But at template its shows the parts which i have placed at first time becomes the initial view Scale. So how to avoid in scale view when more parts in one sheet.

But initial view scale i required in remaining sheets.(for sub-assembly)

Error 1.JPGError 2.JPG

Thanks & Regards

I don't understand your problem well, did your scale added as an attribute?

you can delete the scale if double click on the view name and then at the text dialog box delete manually the scale, dono hope it's helpful

Remove initial scale from the titleblock and just have it as regular text in the template.. Then you can delete it from each sheet as needed..

Or create another titleblock without that and swap out titleblocks as needed for each sheet..

Dear sir,

In a single sheet there are 2 or 3 drawing present. And each drawing has a different scale depend on there size or dimension type.

So i required how to denote the scale in sheet title block, when i create more number of drawing in a single sheet. because....!

Like example 1 - 3 sheet has one drawing so i give initial scale view. But 4 sheet will be having more drawing. so initial view will be the first drawing which i have projected.

I hope you understand.

Does this workaround help? You can create many custom iProperties and quickly access them through the iLogic Form.

Thanks @kelly.young

Weather i need to write scale size for every sheet. i don't think so. Which part scale is present has to be there automatically has to arrive in template.

The problem is I forget putting scale size in every sheet.

Thanks

@mcgyvr Dear sir.

I agree with your solution sir. but every time i may write or no. due to lack to data entry.

First... What use is the scale on the drawing?

Are you actually using a ruler to measure missing dimensions on the paper?

If not the scale is useless and just remove it and don't show it at all..

Scale is only useful when people are actually using a scale ruler to physically measure the length of undimensioned lines on a drawing..

That is mostly an old/out of date practice..

But again as I wrote above..

If you want to show scale only when there is one part on the sheet and remove it when there is more than one drawing then simply do the following

1)Edit your titleblock and remove any scale reference/prompts.

2)In the template just add regular text with the Initial View Scale parameter (NOT WHILE EDITING THE TITLEBLOCK)

3)Save template

Now when you create a new drawing the initial scale will be filled in automatically.

When you create a sheet with more than one part and you do not want the scale to show simply select that text and press the delete button..

When you are putting that into the titleblock it MUST be there on all sheets..

But if you just put it somewhere on the sheet and NOT in the titleblock you can delete that text if you want by simply clicking on it and deleting it..

There is NO need to manually enter the scale..

In fact please just attach your template file if you cannot understand what I just wrote and I will modify it for you and send it right back to you..
