Save as stp and open with PTC creo problems

I made a model with Inv2013 and I have saved as stp. When my customer try to open with SolidWorks or PTC the model is broken, looks like has open surface. If I open that stp file with inventor the file dont has problem. Any suggestions?

I have attached the stp file made from Inventor

Thanks

Hi!

This is a multisolid, maybe that's why will have problems. Try first convert the part in only one solid before convert to step.

Hi!

Yes.

I already manage to join two solids... now is missing to join the last two ones, the body and the wing support... that will take some time. I will see that after work.

The part have a few complicated surfaces, some errors, that's why it can´t join easealy in one body.

Hi Carlos,

Thanks for your hard work, I appreciate. I could open your new file, the stp. I can open in Inventor without problem and dont have any error. But, I still have the same problem. When the manufacturer try to open with PTC creo the dody is a open surface, so they can use that file to make the mould. They need a solid piece. We are in the same start point, why if you have a good solid piece in Inventor when you convert to stp and open with other softwear sometime you can not have a useful solid?.  I have attached a screenshot where show where the surface is open.

Thanks for your comments

Hi Carlos,

Thanks again but the problems are still there. Thanks for your advise but is not easy replace the software in a big company. there are a lot of things that they need modify. Also they told me that only with Inventor they are running with this issue so is more probably if I can not fix this problems that I have to move to other softwear. I spend long time making the models and still have problems...

Any idea how can I make a model and avoid this problems?? Im felling that inventor is not a good softwear to make this work...

Thanks for your comments

What i can say is i can open the file in other CAD system, like NX, so i can't say if the problem comes from Inventor, NX or Creo...

If it is a good tool or not... it's a cad tool, depend how you create things.

Let´s try one last time... and i believe it will work.

Note: i Believe this is parts for kit mounting models, so you don't need the holes, (very complicated mould system) but the efect it makes, so i delete de holes and leave the form... check it...
