How do I restore the hatch in section A-A and detail C in Inventor 2019? I turned it off so I could remove the rib hatching in the view.

Do you have any prior AutoCAD experience?

You can add Hatch in Inventor in the same way that you do AutoCAD.

Did you do the hatching as a sketch in the view or right on the view? How did you leave out the rib? I haven't used AutoCAD since 2000.

Click view.

Hit S on the keyboard.

Project Geometry hatch boundaries.

(add additional boundary lines/arcs as needed)

BTW - you have a lot of repeated dimensions and dimensions shown as both controlling and as reference.  I would consider this poor practice in detailing a drawing.

Are the lines that remove the rib sketch lines or another type of line?

Draw (sketch) them - just like in AutoCAD years ago.

I forgot to change the lineweight, but you can also make them thicker to match the part.

I did that, so do I select them with the rest of the projected geometry, or do I do something else with them?

Hi Sean,

The workflow is a bit hidden. You need to edit the view and go to Display Options -> check Hatching.

Many thanks!

Can sketch lines be included when I select lines, etc. for projecting the geometry in a sketch?

Hi Sean,

I am sorry I am not sure the exact workflow you are asking. Is this in Drawing Sketch or Part/Assembly Sketch? If it is former, I don't believe Drawing Sketch can be projected to another Drawing Sketch. View geometry can be projected to Drawing Sketch though.

For Part/Assembly Sketch, sketch geometry in SketchA can be projected to SketchB.

Many thanks!

I figured out how to do it. Thank you, everyone, for your help.
