Cannot delete unwanted projected lines from a break in drawing environment

See attached file. Inventor will let me hide line that are actually there, but not lines generated by a break. If I was drawing this detail manually, or in AutoCAD, I would not have the vertical lines at the right-hand end of Section K-K; I would just have the horizontal lines 'stopping'. I don't want them in Inventor either, but Inventor won't allow me to pick them, presumably because they 'aren't really there', in other words, they don't relate to a real surface or edge. And imagine if Section K-K, rather than being a section view, was a plan view. The situation would be even worse, there would be a plethora of unwanted vertical lines. Is there any way around this?

Have you tried going into the browser, finding the section view and turning off the visibility of the represented part?

No, that won't help at all, it will remove the whole part from the view. It's lines I want to to hide, not a part. Lines which Inventor generates. But, as I say, I don't think it's possible.

Wasn't sure from your pic how much removing the part from the view would would effect it.

If what I am showing below is what you are looking for, it cannot be done.  Understand Autocad is a 2D drawing program that allows you to do pretty much what ever you want.

Yes, I am wanting to delete those lines. So it cannot be done, as I thought.

And I do 'understand' that AutoCAD is a 2D programme. I also think that software should be a servant, not a master. You see that orange horizontal line right at the top of Section K-K? Now that is in some way an analogous line; it represents the boundary of a crop, rather than any actual edge of a model. But that orange line *can* be deleted/hidden if desired. I would just like to be able to do the same with those vertical lines. it can't be the first time this has cropped up. What do other people do? Just put up with it? As I explained in my first post, if it were a plan view rather than a section, it would look even worse.

Fair enough.  You can make this suggestion in the Inventor IdeaStation.

This will at least give you the opportunity to have a voice and shape Inventor. Smiley Happy

Next best thing, I think, although not perfect, is to crop the offending view so the relevant lines are just excluded. This just leaves the orange crop boundaries lines, which *can* be deleted/hidden if desired.
