Replacing 3D flat surface with a curved surface

I have spent all day trying to create an identical part with a curved surface to the outer face.

The method I used to create the fluid part does not afford me the means to do so, thus it has to be a secondary operation.
I have tried to create splines from the outer top edges in 3D Sketch using the Include Geometry command.
Sadly, to no avail.
Can someone more experienced, please kindly assist me in achieving a curvature of circa 2mm to the outer face?
Or to create an identical new part with such a curved face.
I would be extremely grateful. Thank you.

Hi! I am sorry I have hard time visualizing the desirable curved surface. Please share a picture or the sketch that would create such surface. After the surface is created, you may use Replace Face command to replace the flat face with the curved face.

Many thanks!

Please forgive my hasty sketches. I hope they enable you to understand
what I must create for the component to work.

I am most grateful. Thank you.

Hi! Did you attach a file? I still don't see it.

Many thanks!

I pasted the images into my earlier email reply.

I have also posted them into the Chat.

I have attached them as a PDF file.

Thank you so much.

Hi! Did you contact Autodesk Product Support or you send an email to me johnson.shiue@autodesk.com. I have not received an email from you.

Many thanks!

Thank you. For some reason my images do not appear to be reaching you.

I will past them into a part file and send you.

*A PDF file of the images is attached.*

Every way I try to send you either a part file with an image inserted or a PDF it seems only the text reaches you.
The email address you gave me bounced back.
Do you have a private email address I might send an image to please? I give you my word I will immediately delete it afterwards.
I am so sorry this is turning into a marathon.

I appreciate I was initially unable to provide the sketch requested, but even when I did, sadly no one responded. I am to this day still struggling to replace the upper surface with a half-ellipse shape.

Message 11 of 16

I am presently looking at freeform modelling to see if I can convert the outer surface and uniformly pull the surface outwards in the shape of half of an ellipse. My difficulty is I cannot yet find the means to grab say, all the cells on either side of the longitudinal centre line. If I could, this could help solve my problem.

Attempting to loft between sections and using the edges as guide rails, Inventor refuses due to the guide rails not being smooth.  I don't detect any discontinuities along the edges, but Inventor must know something that I don't.

I tried selecting tangencies of various entities- selecting tangencies of the faces results in all the faces on that side being selected; selecting tangencies on the various edges results in no or just one or two adjacent edges.  So there's something wrong with this body that Inventor can't deal with.

Thank you. I have smoothed out the guide rails and sort of getting it to
work. Although Inventor is not happy!
Message 14 of 16

I found that the guide rails are discontinuous. If I  use tangential and coincidental tools to tidy the lines, they fall apart.

The only way I have managed is to recreate the guidelines with the Edit Spline tool at very close intervals.

To overcome all of the issues, I created a circular flip-chart of Sketch planes with 20 pages that I cut or pierced with my part and then recreated each of the layers using my smoothed central guide rail and the Loft key.

I was late to bed, so I will let you know how I get on later today.

Thank you for looking at my problem.

This is my wheel of sketch planes I pierced with my part. I am now tracing the outline of each section to rebuild using my smoothed central guide rail and the Loft command.

Can you actually share the part?
