Render or Ray Trace with 3D Annotations?

Hi everyone,

I need some help, I would like to create a rendered/ high res image of an assembly with some overall dimensions.

When I render the dimensions seem to disappear. There doesnt seem to be a 'out-of-the-box' solution to this?

My current work around is to put the visual style on realistic and do the annotations. It's not ideal.

Does anyone know if there is a way to do it? If not what work arounds have you been using?

Also is there a way to control the colour of the 3d Annotations??

Thanks

Don't think it's possible, workaround would be to composite 2 images in an image editor (photoshop, gimp, etc)
Make your render/raytrace and then keep the model in the same orientation for the dimensions.
Layer them on top of eachother and remove the unrendered model, leaving the dimensions...
