remove part from drawing

For an API reason, I wish to have a part in assembly that does NOT appear in a drawing of the assembly. I cannot use representations in this instant. The closest I can get is by making it reference (which I must do to anyway to remove it from the BOM) - but of course I get phantom lines on the drawing. I can't just remove the lines as this must be automatic. Can anyone out there thnk of a way this can be done?

Thanks, Dave

Well on the model state tab of the edit base view dialog you can switch reference parts to display as regular parts.. Not sure if this is able to be set automatically though..

Yes - nice one, or turn them off in that dialog as well. That would help, but i would like to be able to set something at assembly level. Perhaps this just cannot be done (or there might be something i can set at the API level?).

Thanks for your reply, Dave

If you need it on the drawing but don't need it in the BOM then setting it as reference is your best bet.
