Precision and units in IPROPS

Is there a way to change the precision of a custom IPROP and have it not show the units? I'm trying to make the decription IPROP assosiative using IPROPS linked to parameters. My problem is that the custom property shows up like 12.000 in. I want it to just show up as 12.

Andrew,

You can go to Tools->Document Settings->Units->change Model Dimension
Display->Precision. However, after the change, its effect is document-wide.
Any dimension will be displayed in this precision (the real dimension value
does not change though).

open the part, RMB or go to file iProperties, then go to custom iProperties, select the property and change the type from text to number. It will round down to the nearest whole number.

That's not going to quite work, what I need is to not display leading and trailing zeros. And any units also need to go away. I remember something about this topic with mass in the title block and getting rid of the lbmass units, but I couldn't find any anwer when I did a search.

You will always get leading zeros as they are significant figures. If you change the parameter type to number, then your precision will go to zero and your units will disappear.
ie. "12.000 in" will display as "12"
Try it....

That works fine for geting rid of units, but what if I have a dimension of 12.25 and I want it to show up as such?

Oh ok, then in styles and standards editor edit your dimension settings. See attached.
