placing a plate around a cylinder

Hi,

 

How would you model a circular plate correctly onto a revolved surface?

Hi Richard,

 

The question is a bit open-ended. If the plate and the sphere are two different parts, you simply create an assembly tangent constraint between the two. Is that what you are looking for?
