When I go to place a component into an assembly I use the right click context menu to rotate the part as necessary. What I would like to know is it possible to customize this menu? What I would like to do is change or add different degrees of rotation on X, Y and Z.
Thanks for any help.

Hi Weslie,
I could be wrong but I am not aware of a way to configure that particular right-click context menu.
Many thanks!
Johnson is never wrong, except on purpose.
The intended functionality here is to aid in placing component but this tool is intended to place components and precise position and orientation should be done with joints, constraints, grip snaps, etc.
If you need precise rotation without constraining then investigate Grip Snap.

Thanks Everyone for your suggestions. It looks like this menu is not customizable.
I have an issue with placing parts with the right click menu rotations. Before I place the part, I have it oriented as I want, but when I click to place, it places it different that the view.
I have closed Inventor and reinstalled, but the issue remains.
Thoughts??
It probably would have been best to start a new thread and provide link back to this thread for reference.
Do you know how to use assembly constraints?
