pinned and unpinned files

The problem is files pinning and unpinning and even duplicating gon the home screen. This is the first time for it to be happening. I checked and old thread that mentioned that the Inventor profile/registry entry is corrupted, messed up or you don't have the proper permission to write to it. How do I fix this?

I figured it out, it was a registry error. Unfortunately, I lost all my pinned files from a current project. Is there a way to get them back without opening each individual file (over 100)?

Nice that you figured it out!
If you had to clear your registry to fix it then i don't think there is an easy way to get them back.
You can open multiple files at once... if you make your recently used list amount high enough, you could open all / most of your files and then pin them as needed....?

I'm not worried about it. I've started and stopped this particular project so many times I know it inside and out.

Accepted solution

Are you using more than 1 IPJ by chance?

Have you tried that?

Why would more than 1 IPJ make a difference?

Okay, I understand that part of this topic, but I'm having the same problem again after repairing the registry. This is very weird.

What are you using for an Anti-Virus / Firewall?

I think we've talked on a prior question about having Admin rights on the PC yes?

Is this a work or personal PC?

I'm using Norton 360 for antivirus and the firewall. I have admin privileges and my computer is a personal one.
