Perspective distortion

I have a question about Perspective distortion in ipt/iam view.

When i change the perspective distortion using ctrl+shift+mousewheel it works as intended. The problem is that when i press any surface on the model the perspective distortion instantly gets reset back to standard.

How can i change this?

Instead of ctrl+shift+mousewheel use the mouse button combination - Ctrl+Shift+F3, then click and drag the cursor to get the whished distortion in the graphics region.
