Hi

Thanks for your prompt response.

Is there any preference between intel and AMD processor ?

Which graphics is better NVIDIA or AMD ?

Thanks

Take a look at the Inventor benchmark leaders boards to get an idea of what real world performance people are getting from particular hardware. But it looks like all the top end machines on that leaderboard are all Intel + Nvidia. It may be that Intel + Nvidia is better for inventor or it might be that not many people use and benchmark AMD with INV so the sample sizes are skewed. I dunno.

Both my CPU and graphic processor are AMD, and both are completely trouble-free and run Inventor just fine.  However, I am not trying to achieve top benchmark scores, nor am I pushing Inventor hard with large complex assemblies.

The important thing is that they work well and that they seem to be a very good value.  But perhaps if you're looking for top performance due to either vanity or extreme modeling, Intel/Nvidia may offer slightly better numbers.

Through all years I used Inventor I must have use up around 10 PC

And what I have learned is go for quality and simple!!

Last 10years i strictly using the HP Z series=Quality....Extremely reliable!!  None has broken and that is the most important

I mostly design steel constructions and not so much fancy rendering that demands a lot more of the PC

Now I have a regular HP Z2 G4 with a good graphic gaming card and it runs great for me

Go for as much CPU you can afford is my advice!

I just test CPU with an assembly of over 20.000 parts and the PC handles it Ok

Are you working with more rendering you need +10 times better PC

Are you working with smaller assemblies the most basic Hp Z will work great
