Pattern a face?

Hi Guys,

Been using SWX for a while and am used to being able to pattern a set of faces in a part. Such as a set of holes or slots etc. I know I can pattern a "Feature" but I cant do that AFTER I have derived a part into a new part?

So I just want to be able to pattern the faces of a hole or slot for example.....

Is this simple operation possible?

Thanks

Hi! Inventor does not have the workflow allowing you to replicate faces on a body. But, you can use the following workflow to get the same result.

1) Use Thicken/Offset tool in Modeling environment -> pick the faces you like to replicate -> set output = surface and distance = 0.

Essentially, you create a surface body associative to the faces.

2) Use Pattern command to pattern the offset surface.

3) Use Sculpt command to cut out the solid.

Many thanks!
