Parts in assembly named the same

I have copied in multiple parts that are the same.

This was months ago.

Now I see they are named the same.

Bug?

If you copy a part in assembly you get what you are seeing. If you want to have different names, meaning different parts, then you need to Save and Replace with different name. Keep in mind that if u save and replace the two parts are not the same, so if you want to make any changes you need to do it in all parts separately.

No, every part gets a new ":(n+1)" after the filename.

And if you try to name them with the same

A:1

A:2 (try changing to 1)

A:3

there is an error message saying "The new name is already in use"

I am not really sure if I follow so let me trying to explain what I am thinking.

With your assembly you have a part named CU-0634-1.

When you copy that you are going to get CU-0634-1:2 

and if you copy again you will get CU-0634-1:3

and if you copy again ....  CU-0634-1:n.

That means that part CU-0634-1 exists in you assembly n-times. 

If you want to create another part that is similar to CU-0634-1 but not the same then you do save and replace.

If the problem is only in your assembly tree, i mean that the parts are exactly the same like CU-0634-1:4 that I see you have it twice under 6,01 .

I have noticed the same thing a few times after using the command 'save and replace', that the name in the 

assembly tree hasn't changed but if I open that part it has the correct (new) name.

Sometimes when the browser doesn't update the names properly you can force it by editing the name, deleting the entire content and hitting Enter.
Does that fix your issue in this situation?

Also, i noticed you're getting the result for a search...

Could it be that there are multiple instances of a part inside a sub-assembly being found?

Hi! I suspect the export or import file may contain duplicated components, meaning the same components exist in different file folder. Try using Productivity -> Rename Browser Nodes. If it does not help, please share an example of the files and how you get to this state. I would like to understand it better.
