Parameters Being Deleted

We have templates setup with parameters built in to them but it appears that, when using the Demote feature, some of the parameters are being deleted by Inventor. It also appears to be deleting Event Triggers. Is there an easy solution for this? We are using Inventor 2026.1.

Hi Ed,

If the parameters are associated with assembly constraints, they might be affected by Promote/Demote because the constraints do get transferred to upper/lower level. Please share the Inventor files with me directly at [email protected]. I would like to take a look and see if the behavior is expected. It could be a bug.

Many thanks for sharing the template file! I did a quick test demoting a part in a sample assembly using the template. The parameters seemed to survive. Could you share a simple assembly that exhibits the behavior?
