Inventor sheet metal wierd behavour

Hello!

I've made a simple sheet metal ipt.

Now something strange occurs: The work plane is 1000 mm from the xz plane. if you change that to 920 mm, corner 3 gives an error. 850 mm is ok. 898 mm also. 899 mm: Error. 1100 mm, everything is fine.

Is this some number magic? Whats wrong here?

Hi! This is a very interesting case. I can confirm the defective behavior. It seems to have something to do with the Lofted Flange (chord length and the bend radius). I made the following to changes and it seems to work more reliably.

- Edit the Lofted Flange and change the chord-length value to 10mm

- Edit the Sheet Metal Rule -> Bend -> Bend Radius = 1.5 * Thickness (Stärke).

Please try it out and see if it works better for you.

Sorry, that's a workaround and does not explain the inital error.

It's because the 3 bends don't converge to same point.  The corner got too complex.
