Off Topic - Torsion Module (Wt) ?

Hello everyone. Can anyone tell how to calculate the "Torsion Module" (Wt) of the attached figure? Thanks.

Hi! To calculate Torsion Modulus, you need to know the Torsion Constant of the given shape. The Torsion Constant of a uniformed section bar is equal to the second moment of inertia. You can find that out using Region Properties command in Inventor Sketch.

Create a 2D sketch of the section shape. Go to Inspect -> Region Properties -> select the profile -> Calculate. You will see the moment of inertia. Then you can plug in the value to get Torsion Modulus.
