Nvidia Control Panel and Inventor Settings

1 month ago I bought a PC with the following settings:

- Motherboard Gigabyte GA-X99-UD3
- Intel Core i7 5820K 3.30GHz 15MB
- Water Cooler CM Seidon 120M
- Memory 32GB DDR 2400MHz Kingston Fury (4x8)
- HD SSD 240GB Kingston V300
- HD 1Tera SATA3 Seagate 7200RPM
- Video card PCI-express 8GB PNY Nvidia Quadro M4000 256bit

I use every day Autodesk Inventor 2015 software, but when I do some rendering 15 seconds in Inventor Studio takes over 4:30 hours.
Another problem is when I open a large assembly my pc get some lags.

Can anybody help me ? I believe that if I adjust the Nvidia Software settings and inventor settings, I can solve my problems.
But I do not know how to do this.

Welcome to the forum ....

What is your hardware setting under application options?

Also are you up to date on your video card drivers?

As for the rendering, depending on how and what you're rendering it could take a lot time, but it also lets you keep rendering til satisfied ..

I've done 5 reiterations and 400 of a image in Studio, ..  what are you using for settings?  4000 x 4000 ?

Hey,

-Sorry I dont understand what you mean with "What is your hardware setting under application options?"

-My video card is already updated with the new version

- I tried to render only for testing.
I used an assembly with only 70 parts, resolution of 640 X480, Highest antialiasing, 60 frame and 15 seconds just by changing the camera, and it would take 4:30 hours.

I know this Pc i can get much better, so I'm still thinking that the problem is on the Nvidia control Panel and the Inventor settings.

change it to performance ...and see if you're ok with that quality. I do Hi-Res images ...and I'm on performance without any issues

i do not ....sorry.

I don't change anything on either of my Geforce Nvidia cards ... but I'm not having an issue.       What are you trying to change?

Why do you believe it's related to the Control panel, did you start doing changes in it?   Maybe see if you can change it back to default settings if so ..

M

Yes, I tried change to get better .
I heard that you can make changes that can greatly improve the system and the use of the video card, but I do not know what can I adjust.

Make sure that you have your system hardware set to default and are not "Overclocking" anything. Last week someone posted of poor performance running an Inventor system test. It appears that a couple of "Overclock" settings were incorrect which caused his system to slow down considerably.

Just insert the picture rather than attaching it as a file

A couple of points:

  • Inventor doesn't use the video card for rendering, as in creating images or movies.  The process is strictly CPU based so no amount of video card tweaking will help.
  • 4.5 hourse for 15 seconds of animation is about right.  Consider that 15 seconds run-time x 24 frames per second is 360 frames; 1 minute render time for each frame is 360 minutes, or 6 hours.
  • The larger the image (in pixels, not DPI) the longer it will take to render each frame.  The higher the quality the longer it will take.  Its not at all unusual for a large, high-quality image to take several hours to render.

Sorry cadumoret I'll be back in another hour or so ... Family event. Can you share an image to see what you have. I think you like need to try 2000 x2000 and then you can zoom in and not get the blur effect

So here is what I have set up for my nvidia 9500 GT

The image above was done on this machine ....

nvidia 1.PNG

nvidia 2.PNG

Maybe restore it back and see how it does .... and change your Application setting to Performance ...

Also make sure you have all of the Inventor updates as well ...and then can you share an image of what you're getting.
