I've just checked my Thread feature tool on Inventor Pro 2020 and there are two options for NPT: NPT, and NPT for PVC Pipe and Fitting.

What version of Inventor are you using?

Make a Simple Hole to your chosen depth and then use the Thread feature to add your NPT thread. You're right that it doesn't seem present for a Tapped Hole but this would do very much the same thing I believe. Apologies.

YES I CAN USE THAT BUT DO YOU KNOW WHY IT IS NOT AVAILABLE IN THAT OPTION ?

Apparently it is because it is a different button by itself. For straight threaded hole, use the Tapped button you mentioned before. For NPT threaded hole, use the option directly to its right - the threaded tapped hole. Seeing as NPT is a tapered threading, it makes sense, but it isn't painfully clear.

That's because NPT is not a normal (parallel) thread, it is a tapered thread.  Use the tapered thread type, where you will not be able to select any parallel threads.

They are different from each other because there is no allowance to specify depth of a tapered thread-- its depth is fixed.  And, obviously, the thread portion of the hole is tapered.
