The part from Catia is a dump solid and contains no model history to generate a circular pattern from.  Look at your browser tree, any features listed there?

What?  HTM file..  Are you talking about the HTML report file of the translation?  This has nothing to do with the actual CAD model.  Show a screen shot of your browser.

See in your browser it just states partbody..  The entire model from CATIA is a single part entity and there's no features.  So you can select anything in it to make a pattern from.  Conversions from other CAD models or CAD application will always produce a dumb solid with no model history.  However you could (if entitled to it), install the Feature Recognition add-in and then see if it will pick up features.

But let me ask you this..  Is the information already there and you are trying to pattern it or are you sketching and making new stuff and its failing?  I kind of read your original information both ways.

I'm making the gauge face as I need it. Would I be able to make an ipt and bring in an iam?

Ok lets back up..  I originally read it as though you were trying to pattern something that was part of the CATIA file.

In your browser image it just shows a sketch.  Are you trying to pattern within your sketch?  Can you save the ipt and share it here?  Or perhaps show us what you are trying to do.  Limited information at this time and its hard to provide a solution without knowing more.

pattern.PNGSorry about that out at a plane taking pictures of the dials that need to be made. I was trying to pattern the lines so they are evenly spaced then trim them. I could mirror them but couldn't trim them all. So that is why it looks like this this was a mirror try.preview of patternpreview of patternafter patternedafter patterned

Can you attach your original Catia file here?

I know I have personally posted several solutions to gauge dial problems here in the past.

I suspect that you are going about it all wrong - but without your file - I am reluctant create another example...

OK, now that I see your geometry - your modeling issue has absolutely nothing to do with CATIA.

This is a simple Inventor geometry modeling challenge.

Back in a while with the solution.
