Modified border does not update

While attempting to update a modified border to bring into agreement with established borders of various drawings I've run in to an interesting problem:

Trying to increase text height in definition does not reflect alterations when placed in the drawing.

Format Text Box.png

shows up like this (as it should) in the editer view

Border Editer Mode.png

Which shows up like this (which it shouldn't) when I save and exit out of the border edit tool

Border Regular Mode.png

Notice it has undone the size changes to the horizontal zones. Is there any fix? I've tried for about an hour to fix this issue with no luck.

I could be wrong and thinking of something else..   But I thought I ran across this issue before and it had to deal with the text (the numbers) being patterned in the border definition.   But I could be wrong... Smiley Indifferent

I thought that might be the case as well, but unfortunately it appears the numbers are not patterened. To add an additional head scratcher to the problem: the bottom set of numbers can be altered as necessary, however as soon as any number on the top is modified it reverts all numbers back to the original text type....

I had to do a little digging but...

The zone border lettering is associated to the pattern that is created for the zone border lines. When you go to modify certain zone lettering (like #1) and exit editing text… The lettering size will not update and Inventor recreates the pattern causing the other zone letters to resize as well. To correct this you can do one of the following:

1. Delete the existing zone border lettering and create your own that is not associated to the border line pattern.
2. Define a zone border text style with the appropriate size text font and then create a new zone border using the updated text style.

The zonal letter/number size, colour and font are controled in the STYLES EDITOR.

I found it quite esay to add a text named BORDER and assign that to the bored in OBJECT DEFAULTS

1 Cerat anew text name

2 Set it to BORDE in OBJECT DEFAULTS

Thanks for that! I orignally attemtped to do 1. but the error persisted because I would re-associate to the border pattern. I have since fixed it this way. I will now have to figure out the iRule for automatically updating the numbers on subsequent sheets... :3
