Hi

I have tried this a number of times and am not getting anywhere close

Eliptical in plan view

Semi Eliptical in cross section through both axis

Flat plane bottom

Im sure there is a way - Just having a senior moment - well continuosly last couple of months rally.

any pointers would be appreciated

Are you trying to assemble two different part files?

Hello @110_turner if you can attach the attempt of your Part so forum experts can give you detailed advice that would be helpful. 

Also be sure to indicate the version year you are using to ensure you can open any attached files.

Attached is a 2017 attempt, drag the EOP up in the Model Browser (red X End of Part) to inspect the modeling technique.
