Model view "breaks" when constraining models

Edit: solved, deleted a few dozen constraint errors and (2) pattern errors.

I have this large Inventor assembly file that was created by someone else. I took the model files, moved and uploaded into Vault and have since been tweaking names, iProp info, etc.
I'm finally at the main assembly and need to tweak/fix some items.
However, when I start constraining a bearing, the model view "breaks" and its extremely difficult to impossible to work with. If I rotate, the view clips, flickers and jumps around.

The only fix I can find is to delete the hard drive version and download an unaltered version from Vault.
I'm using Inventor 2024, build 153 (02/16/2023). I do have a Inv 2024 update available. I'll try that.

The latest update is 2024.3.5, build 343 (4/24/2025).  By all means get your software updated, but I doubt that will change what you're observing.  Inventor assemblies can be pretty easily "broken", and it's not always easy to figure out why.

One strategy that helps is to break it into smaller subassemblies.  If this is top-heavy (most parts at the top level), try demoting components to logical subassemblies for less complex constraint relationships.

Hi Tim,

The first thing I would check is how far the components are away from the origin. Measure the distance between the top-level assembly origin and a vertex on the model. It should be within hundred or thousand of meters, not kilometers. If they are far away, please move them closer to the origin.

Another thing to check is the red cross button at the top. If it is lit up, it means there are sick conditions in the assembly. Please fix them or delete the offending objects.

Many thanks!
